What does Rx EDGE do?
Rx EDGE specializes in promoting pharmaceutical brands in the retail pharmacy environment. Our products include at-shelf and pharmacy counter information dispensers, counter mats and other customized in-store media.

What is the affiliation with LeveragePoint Media?
LeveragePoint Media is a provider of consumer oriented in-store marketing solutions and services. Rx EDGE is the direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical marketing division of LeveragePoint Media.

Your programs are sold on a “category exclusive” basis. What does that mean?
In the course of a program cycle, we permit only one Rx brand per category to be featured. If you are promoting a sleep aid product, for example, yours will be the only prescription brand in that category for the duration of the purchased cycle(s).

Can you accommodate extensive PI/PPI on the inserts that are placed in your information dispensers?
We are continually working on new insert formats and sizes that will be capable of communicating PI/PPI of substantial length.

What are the leadtimes involved to do a program?
Please go to our Cycle Calendar section for information on key dates. Your Rx EDGE sales and production teams will work with you to develop a schedule and will advise you of critical milestones in the process, such as deadlines for contracts, art, and signed proofs.

In what locations in the store can my information dispenser be placed?
The in-store placement of Rx EDGE information dispensers is an important strategic decision and varies from brand to brand.

  • Over half of Rx EDGE dispensers are installed at the shelf in the OTC aisle that corresponds with the manufacturer’s product. For example, information regarding a prescription treatment for osteoporosis would typically be placed in the calcium supplement section.
  • Nearly 30% of Rx EDGE placements are at the store’s pharmacy counter.
  • Other programs are installed in the Beauty section or in other locations that most closely conform to the manufacturer’s product or target audience.
  • All placements are subject to retailer approval.

How do you determine the effectiveness of your programs?
Rx EDGE is one of the few DTC vehicles for which results can be reliably measured. The impact of our programs is measured through an independent research company that analyzes weekly TRx and/or NRx script sales data using a matched-panel technique. How many in-store programs have been implemented with Rx EDGE?
In the last two years alone, we have implemented more than 120 Rx EDGE programs spanning a multitude of therapeutic categories and pharmaceutical brands.

What kinds of brand objectives can be achieved through using Rx EDGE?
Rx EDGE programs have been successfully used to fulfill a number of objectives---trial, adherence, disease-state awareness, and patient education.

What is the reach of the Rx EDGE program?
Across the full retailer network, Rx EDGE delivers over 200 million total impressions with a U.S. household reach of 18%.

How many retailers are in the Rx EDGE network?
Our network is comprised of more than 18,000 outlets in Chain Drug, Mass and Supermarket channels. Our Retail Network section has a list of participating pharmacies and location maps. We are continually updating and expanding our network. If you are interested in promoting in a retail outlet that is not on our current list, please let us know. With adequate lead time, we can frequently accomodate specific requests.

How much do Rx EDGE programs cost?
